Another year and another school holidays passes by without the ability of conveniently or smoothly being able to travel abroad. By this point in the pandemic, while potentially possible to go abroad the risk of last minute changes to plans, quarantine, testing and cancellations was not worth the hassle.Instead we chose to visit North Wales and Gwynedd region.

Brooklands Museum in Weybridge is located just 20minutes from my family home and literally around the corner from where I scrape my cars through an MOT each year. Of those dodgy MOTs, many of them were carried out on my beloved VW Corrado VR6. A truly special car that has a cult following and is becoming an increasingly respected modern classic.

Isle of Skye, West Highlands – Scotland

This felt very unlike any other car show I have attended. A super-chilled and classy atmosphere with some epic cars on show in some beautifully restored surroundings. A truly immersive experience. I geeked out massively and Nadine enjoyed it too.

Easter Weekend – Canterbury, UK

For Easter weekend my mum rented a sweet cottage in Canterbury for the family to use to the weekend. Built in the 1600s, The Old Alms House set in the beautiful Kent countryside was a fantastic base for our family.

Nice – Côte d’Azur, France

This would be my third visit to Nice. I love the area, owing mostly to the variety in activities and scenery of the area. It also has fantastic and affordable transport links that can take you east and west along the southern coast of France and over the Italian border in less than an hour.
