To celebrate mine and Nadine's 30th Birthdays we booked a long haul, activity packed trip to Banff National Park, Alberta. The trip would centre around visiting the world famous ski resorts in the area and be supplemented with a range of other outdoor winter activities.
About an hour from Ealing is Oxford - famed for its impressive university buildings. The area has a notably different vibe to that of your typical university town and understandably so, its home to some of the world's most intelligent minds.
I took a day of my half term to spend with my 6 year old nephew at London's Classic Car show at the ExCell Centre in London's Docklands. He's recently found an interest in cars and seemed to have a slight obsession with modern Lamborghinis and McLarens. I was hoping to help influence him towards the beauty of old cars and classic engineering.
So... It turns out I haven't blogged or posted any photo's for over 4 months. With that in mind I have revisited some old photos and re-edited them in Lightroom.
I don't often return to places I have been before as I would prefer to invest my money and time in seeing new things, trying new foods and getting new photos, however I have a particular love for Norway since visiting Tromsø in 2014.
A day off from the regular Saturday routine of football meant I got the chance to spend some time with my sister and my niece, Arabella.
The proximity of Landgraaf to Germany and specifically the town Nürburg makes it convenient for a day trip to the infamous Nurbürgring or Nordschleife racing circuit otherwise known as Grüne Hölle - "Green Hell". Anyone who knows me will know that I have an obsession with cars and a particular interest in German cars (you may notice from my photos that I have a desire for a particular brand of German automobiles) the Nürburgring was a dream destination.
Venice has never been a place I was desperate to see. The city for me is a bit of a 'romantic cliché.' It's where people go to propose to their significant other (you know who you are!). However its proximity to Pula in Croatia made it a convenient day trip to see what all the fuss was about.
Having scoured 'Skyscanner' for reasonable flights during the school summer holidays, we found the only flights that looked vaguely sensible in price were to Croatia. We saved more money by opting to travel to one of the lesser-known airports - Pula on the Istrian peninsula.
Being that it now the summer holidays, all of my social media pages are awash with wedding photos. Its nice to look at these and analyse each photographer's different styles and 'magpie' (teacher slang for 'steal') ideas from more experienced photographers who specialise in weddings.
