Having visited Lisbon for a stag do a few years ago, I had loved the vibe of the city and said that I would revisit sometime. So, during the Easter school holidays I booked a road trip to take us down the Atlantic coast of Portugal from Porto to Lisbon.
This was my second visit to Iceland. We booked as it would be our first foreign travel in almost 2 years due to the Covid 19 Pandemic and Iceland seemed to have the most lenient travel restrictions and procedures meaning it would be less likely to have the disappointment of cancellation.
The Brentford project has become an increasingly popular car meet and classic car enthusiast hang out. They held their second Porsche night which was host to a wide variety of classic, rare and exotic examples of the marque.
Another year and another school holidays passes by without the ability of conveniently or smoothly being able to travel abroad. By this point in the pandemic, while potentially possible to go abroad the risk of last minute changes to plans, quarantine, testing and cancellations was not worth the hassle.Instead we chose to visit North Wales and Gwynedd region.
Brooklands Museum in Weybridge is located just 20minutes from my family home and literally around the corner from where I scrape my cars through an MOT each year. Of those dodgy MOTs, many of them were carried out on my beloved VW Corrado VR6. A truly special car that has a cult following and is becoming an increasingly respected modern classic.
It's been a while since going to a car show and I noticed advertisements for the London Classic Car show at Syon Park. Unlike the previous offering, which was held in the London Excel Centre in the Docklands - this 'socially distanced' outdoor affair was very local to where I live.
Easter weekend had really nice weather so we were able to visit my sister's garden for my niece Arabella's 4th birthday and meet her new baby sister Betty. I haven't had the camera out for ages so today was the perfect opportunity to get some snaps.
I needed a holiday so, so badly. After a tough half term at school I tentatively booked 5 days on Skye. This is a trip I had planned for the same time last year when my plans were scuppered by a broken collarbone and subsequent shoulder surgery.
With no summer holidays, I have had to make do with day trips. Towards the end of summer we took a drive to East Sussex for the day.
Having moved into a new flat and Nadine using some annual leave to do so, we spent a couple of days in South Wales - Nadine, being a Dutchy hasn't visited Wales before so we made the drive west for a flying visit, stopping by in Cardiff on the way.
