Venice – Italy

Venice has never been a place I was desperate to see. The city for me is a bit of a 'romantic cliché.' It's where people go to propose to their significant other (you know who you are!). However its proximity to Pula in Croatia made it a convenient day trip to see what all the fuss was about.

Istria – Croatia

Having scoured 'Skyscanner' for reasonable flights during the school summer holidays, we found the only flights that looked vaguely sensible in price were to Croatia. We saved more money by opting to travel to one of the lesser-known airports - Pula on the Istrian peninsula.

Switzerland

The first stop in our trip to Switzerland was Zurich. Arriving early in the morning we started as we meant to go on, by walking. Walking very long distances! We explored the city on foot and by tram. The weather was glorious and unexpectedly hot. After monitoring weather forecasts closely we had prepared for rain but as with previous short breaks... We got lucky!

Krakow – Poland

Iceland – Day Three

It was an easy one hour trek into the mountains from the nearby village of Hveragerði to a very active area filled with steam outlets, bubbling mud pools and steaming rivers. The area was absolutely breathtaking and the views were spectacular.
